Tags LeBlanc, LMT
Tags graduated from Cortiva Institute in August 2014 and has specialized in injury treatment in both retail and medical massage settings ever since. Their passion is helping clients reduce pain and stress to improve quality of life. Their approach focuses on gently encouraging the nervous system to relax, incorporating Myofascial Release and Deep Tissue techniques, Trigger Point Therapy, Neuromuscular Facilitation, and Cupping. Tags also specializes in pregnancy massage. Each session is tailored to the individual’s goals.
Deep Tissue massage is about accessing the deep layers of muscle, and can happen at various pressure levels, not just with very heavy pressure. In fact, neurologically, repeatedly trying to relax into heavy pressure during your massage can prevent your body from achieving the deep relaxation needed during your session for lasting change. With just a few minutes of melting through your superficial layers, allowing better access to the deeper layers, you can achieve lasting change without taxing your nervous system as significantly as heavy pressure may in many clients.
Tags became a massage therapist after recovering from a car accident and personally experiencing the transformative power massage can have. They combine a strong foundation in anatomy and physiology with an understanding of common injury patterns to help unravel chronic pain and tension.
